Evelyn L. Thomas, 71, died Thursday, November 20, 2014 in Dalhart, Texas. Services were held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at Central United Methodist Church. Officiating was Steve Patterson, Pastor, Central United Methodist Church, Dalhart TX.Evelyn L. Brock was born September 16, 1943 in Dalhart, TX to Albert and Marguerite (Houston) Brock. Evelyn graduated from Dalhart High school in 1962. On July 26, 1975 she married Eldon Thomas. Evelyn was a member of the Dalhart Lions Club, the XIT Rangers, and the Theta Nu Sorority, and a member of Central United Methodist Church where she was in the Friendship Sunday School Class. Evelyn delivered meals for the Meals on Wheels board. Over the years Evelyn worked at the Citizens Bank, Mac Bates Insurance Agency, Service Cleaners (with her husband Eldon) and later as a Jailer and Dispatcher. She also ran Special Occasions Catering. Survivors include her son: Larry Coulter and significant other Angie Cummings of Enid, OK, 2 daughters- Janet and her husband Steve Westbrook of Claude, TX and Anita and her husband Doug Przilas of Dalhart, TX 11 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Evelyn is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Eldon and 3 brothers- Billy, Kenneth and Jackie Brock.
