Eva Nikkel, 94, died Tuesday afternoon, April 24, 2012 in Amarillo, TX Funeral Services were held at 10:00 am on Saturday, April 28, 2012 at First Christian Church with The Reverend Dru Ferguson, Retired Episcopal Priest officiating. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery. Under the direction of Horizon Funeral Home Dalhart, Texas Survivors include her daughter Karen Poole of Texline, TX , 1 grandson Danny Poole of Texline, 2 granddaughters Jayme Poole Rittenberry of Amarillo, TX and Deborah Rolland of Amarillo, TX. 6 great grandchildren, and a sister Iva Nusser of Irvine, CA. She is preceded in death by her husband Abe, a daughter Betty Lou Larance, her parents, and 5 brothers.Eva Loraine Cramer was born May 31, 1917 in Oklarado, CO to Alpha and Jennie (Bonine) Cramer. Eva moved to Dalhart in the early 40s and was an active member of the First Christian Church. She was always busy with community activities and was a member of the XIT Rangers, Sr. Citizens Assoc., Garden Club, and Quilting Club. Not only was she a private caregiver she spent many years as a volunteer with the Coon Memorial Pink Ladies.
