Erin Ann Purgason Fisk, age 94, was born January 7th, 1924 in Kaw City, Oklahoma to parents Robert Raymond Purgason and Minnie Bell Gillis Purgason. She died in San Augustine, Texas on January 30th, 2018. Visitation was at 10:00 AM on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at Horizon Funeral Home with graveside service at 11:30 AM in the Memorial Park Cemetery, Dalhart, Texas. ~ Arrangements provided by Horizon Funeral Home, Dalhart, Texas. Erin was married to Jesse Leo Fisk on April 24th, 1947. They had 4 children. She graduated with honors and had a teaching degree from West Texas State University. Erin spent her entire career in Dalhart Texas where she taught eighth grade math for 20 years and retired. Erin enjoyed traveling all over the world, was known to play a mean game of craps in Las Vegas and took pride in winning the poker pot when the family was together for holidays. She dearly loved her entire family including her mother and father, sisters and brothers along with their families, and especially her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Erin was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters and two brothers, her husband Jesse Leo Fisk, and her son, Robert Harold Fisk. She is survived by son, Charley Fisk and wife Suzan of Matador Texas, son Doug Fisk and wife Elaine of Amarillo Texas, and daughter Barbara Miller of San Augustine Texas. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews.
