Emma Zue Gordon,87 - died Tuesday, January 4, 2005 at Coon Memorial Hospital in Dalhart, Texas.Services were held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 7, 2005 at the First Baptist Church in Dalhart, TX. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery, under the direction of Horizon Funeral Home- Dalhart, Texas Officiants were Rodney Weatherly, Pastor & Clifford Dane, Minister to Senior Adults both of First Baptist Church, Dalhart, Texas Emma Zue Stringer was born October 16, 1917 in Macon, Georgia to Lee & Sadie (Nabors) Stringer. Shortly after the family moved to the Texas Panhandle where Emma Zue attended the Hartley & Dalhart schools she graduated from Dalhart High School. After graduation she went to work for Citizens State Bank for over 30 years. Emma Zue & Hugh Gordon married January 25, 1945. They continued making Dalhart their home, where she was an active member of the First Baptist Church. She was an active member of the Ladies auxiliary (Pink Ladies).Survivors include her husband - Hugh Gordon of their home. Two Brothers - Berkley Stringer of Dumas, TX & Jake Stringer of San Antonio, TX and 1 sister - Marjie Urban of Anaheim, CA Emma Zue is preceded in death by her parents, 3 Brothers- Paul, Zac & J. B. Stringer & 3 Sisters- Ludell Hann, Ruth Lewis, Susie Johnson
