The funeral Mass followed at 10:00 am (MST) at St. Josephs Catholic Church in Mosquero, NM, under the direction of Horizon Funeral Home, Dalhart, Texas. Officiating was Father John Brasher, St. Josephs Catholic Church, Mosquero, NM Eleanor was born in Mosquero, NM on April 2, 1927 to Victor and Reymunda Griego. She lived most her life in Mosquero, NM. Eleanor married Bennie Gonzales on June 12, 1950 in Mosquero, NM.Eleanor was a lifetime member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She was well known for her cooking and her generous soul. She loved to visit with family. Eleanor was a loving mother and will be greatly missed.Survivors include 2 sons David and Connie Gonzales Sr. and Richard Gonzales Sr. both of Dalhart, TX, 2 daughters Janice and Michael Gray of Diana, TX and Adelida and Gilbert Sena of Solano, NM, 14 grandchildren and 10 great- grandchildren.Preceded in death by her husband, her parents, 3 brothers, 4 sisters and 1 grandchild.
