Edna Alma Mitchell, 95, died on Friday, December 22, 2006 in Dalhart, TXServices were held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, December 26, 2006 at Lincoln Street Baptist Church in Dalhart, with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery, Dalhart.Officiating was Rusty Hancock, Pastor, Lincoln Street Baptist Church, Dalhart, TexasEdna Alma Powell was born December 11, 1911 in Canadian, Oklahoma to Oscar and Rosa (Roy) Powell. On August 8, 1928 she married John Odell Mitchell Sr. in Utala, OK. They moved to the Texas Panhandle in the early 30s and farmed in the Rehm Community. After her husbands death in 1973 Edna moved to Dalhart. Edna enjoyed visiting with company, Crochet, cooking and her family. Preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 2 sons: Jackie Paul and JimmyEdna is survived by her Daughters: Bertha Blake of Dalhart and Betty Jo & her husband Knot Fletcher of Hartley, TX Sons: Johnny Mitchell of Canyon, TX Jerral Mitchell of Dumas, TX and Jerry & his wife Becky Mitchell of Dalhart, TX 28 grandchildren 42 Great-grandchildren and 19 Great-great-grandchildren
