Edith Kay Lawrence, 63, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 3, 2017 surrounded by her family in Amarillo, TX.Memorial Service will be held at Lincoln Street Baptist Church on Friday, December 7, 2017 at 2:00pm. Officiating will be by Rusty Hancock, Pastor of Lincoln Street Baptist Church. Under the care of Horizon Funeral Home.Edith Kay Montoya was born on January 12, 1954 to Joe & Betty (Davis) Montoya in Dalhart, Texas. She had a special place in her heart for animals, she loved her ducks and most of all her dog, Miko. Edith was a loving mother & grandmother and will be missed by her familyEdith is survived by 2 sons- Chris Carranza & his wife, Brandi of Amarillo and Ted Lawrence of North Carolina, 4 Grandchildren- Nique Garcia of Amarillo, Darren Parker of Conroe, Dakota Carranza of Amarillo and Skylar Carranza of Amarillo; 3 Great Grandchildren- Zariah, Zayleh & Zavier Benitez of Amarillo as well as 2 sisters Vicky (Grayson) Maldonado and Debbie Ortiz.She is preceded in death by her parents, a brother- Mike Montoya and 2 sisters- Cathy Franks and Ila Rojas.
