Earl Franklin Pollock "Sonny", 71, passed away Thursday, August 13, 2020 in Dalhart, Texas. Private family services will take place at a later date. Sonny Pollock was born Saturday, October 30, 1948 in Hobart, OK to Margeret (Hung) and Clyde F. Pollock, Jr. Sonny lived most of his childhood in Hobart going to school and then roofing houses with his dad. At 13 his family moved to California to work in the logging industry. When Sonny was 20 he moved to Dumas, TX to live near his grandmother. In 1971 he met his loving Ava Jo Rammage and they tied the knot on June 17, 1971. Together they had their three children, Jerry Don, Margeret Faye and Ola Lee. Sonny enjoyed spending his free time fishing at Lake Etling and doing woodwork. He loved his family and his animals. Sonny is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Ava, his children; Jerry Pollock and wife Lorraine, Margeret Figures and husband Ricky and Ola Hancock and husband Garrett all of Dalhart, TX, his seven grandchildren; Kristy Pollock, Andrew Figures, Monica Cullers, Brittiny Pollock, Dawson, Leland and Remington Hancock, his eight great grandchildren; Victoria, Ryder, Chandler, Dekan, Skarlette, Kloyee, Myles and Keyira, two brothers; Joseph Pollock and Clyde Pollock III, his three sisters; Pearl Ennis, Sharon Pollock and Bobbie Ann Pollock. He is preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Earnest Pollock and one sister, Joyce Pollock.
