Dorothy Heiskell, 84, died Thursday July 24, 2014 in Amarillo, Texas Graveside services were held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at Memorial Park Cemetery in Dalhart, Texas. Arrangements entrusted to Horizon Funeral Home in Dalhart, TexasDorothy Faye Fletcher was born August 3, 1929 to MD and Sarah (Dodson) Fletcher in Quail, TX. She was raised in Quail, TX. In 1946 Dorothy married John Floyd Baber, they moved to Hereford, TX in 1950. Dorothy moved to Dalhart after he husband passed away in 1969. She was a waitress and a homemaker. Dorothy married to Thurman Heiskell, he passed away in 1988. Dorothy loved being with her grandchildren and spending as much time as she could with her family. She will be dearly missed.She is preceded in death by her parents, eleven siblings, her husbands John Floyd Baber, and Thurman Heiskell. Two son in laws and three grandsons- Jeffery, Chad, and Shawn.Survivors include her son Jerry Baber and his wife Adrianna of Lamar, CO, Daughters- Patty Davis and her husband Curtis of Dalhart, TX, and Janice Pierce of Idabel, OK. Eight grandchildren, twenty-three great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.
