Dorotha Faye Lanners, 82, died on Wednesday, April 19, 2006 in Dalhart, TX.Graveside Services were held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 21, 2006 at Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Horizon Funeral Home, Dalhart, Texas. Officiating was Rusty Hancock, Minister of the Lincoln Street Baptist Church in Dalhart, TXDorotha Faye Knudsen was born June 14, 1923 in Burkburnett, TX to James H. Jim and Pearl (Weeks) Knudsen Dorotha moved to Dalhart as a girl and graduated from Dalhart High School in 1941. She married John Lanners of Sunray, Texas, on October 13, 1949 in Clayton, NM. They lived on a farm near Sunray before moving to Dalhart. Later John went to work for an oil company, and they lived in several states before moving back to Dalhart in 1957 after the death of their young son J. H. Lanners. Dorotha was a devoted daughter, sister, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She worked for Scotties 7-11 for several years. She was a member of the Lincoln Street Baptist Church.Survivors include her Daughters: Kay & her husband Kevin Spielman of Dalhart, TX and Beth and her husband Lyle Wade of Herington, KS 5 grandchildren: Jeff & his wife Bonnie Gaddy of Dumas, TX Jim & his wife Donna Gaddy of Parker, CO Jennifer & her husband George Miller of Lost Springs, KS Shana Hulin of Amarillo, TX and Shara Hulin of Amarillo, TX and 12 great-grandchildren - and a brother: J.O. Pulliam of Stratford, TX - Preceded in death by her Parents, her husband: John Lanners, a son: J. H. Lanners, a grandson: Tim Gaddy, and her sister: Evelyn Heiskell. Memorials: Your favorite charity
