Doris Rogers, 82, died on Wednesday, October 17, 2012 in Amarillo, TXFuneral Services were held at 3:00 pm Saturday, October 20, 2012 at Kingdom Hall of Jehovahs Witnesses, Dalhart, TX, burial was in follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Horizon Funeral Home of Dalhart, TX Officiating was Robert Rooney, Dalhart, TXDoris loved to cook for her family, providing a constant stream of chocolate chip cookies, pasta, & meatballs. She loved jigsaws and crosswords, and often spent her afternoons gardening. She was an active member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovahs Witnesses and was very committed to her faith.Doris favorite quote was whatever befitting her strong, positive approach to life: taking its many challenges in stride, and its many blessings to heart. She loved being surrounded by her family and found great joy in her grandchildren. She was known around Dalhart as sweet and energetic, with a ready smile for all she met, she never met a stranger and had the gift of gab.Survivors incluide her daughters: Doreen Ontiveros of San Bernardino, CA, Patricia Kennedy of Dalhart, TX, Lynda Gergen of Austin, TX, Son: Tim Rogers of San Bernardino CA, Brothers: Reginal Camplese, Robert Camplese, and Romeo Camplese and sister Juliet Samarjian all of Massachusetts.Grandchildren: Samuel Seidman, Phillip Tello, Joshua Rogers, Sasha Seidman, Aaron Rogers, Nathen Rogers, Dustin Rogers, Kyle Rogers, Samantha Rogers, Dominique Gergen, Jessica Gergen, Tristan Davidson, Ryan Kennedy and Brandan Kennedy. Eight great-grandchildren.Preceded in death by her husband Manuel Rogers and three sons: Michael Rogers, Dennis Rogers and Phillip Rogers.
