Donna Thompson, 61 of Dalhart, passed away on April 9, 2023. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00AM, Saturday, May 6, 2023 at Central Methodist Church. Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Horizon Funeral Home. Donna was born on March 25, 1962 to Dr. David and Dr. Dorothy Gifford in Columbus, OH. Donna graduated high school and went on to earn her LVN. She enjoyed plants and wearing turquoise jewelry and going to the beach. For the last, almost 23 years, Donna was happily married to her soulmate, Brad Thompson, and for the past 11 years, they have called Dalhart their home. Donna was actively working as a traveling LVN home health nurse for Accent Care Home Health (formerly Accolade.) She had the gift of offering comfort to her patients. While Donna was sick these last 6 weeks, her patients would ask "When is Donna coming back?" Unfortunately, God had other plans but goes to show that she made an impact in what she was passionate about. Donna will be dearly missed by all who knew her. She was a member of Central Methodist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents: Dr. David Gifford and Dr. Dorothy Gifford. Donna is survived by her husband: Brad; one brother: Steve Gifford and wife Carol; two sisters: Karin Hofmeister and Martha Kayser; and numerous nieces and nephews.
