Donna Martin, 66, died Saturday, April 4, 2009 in Amarillo, TXFuneral Services were held at 10:00 am Tuesday, April 7, 2009 at the First Baptist Church in Dalhart. Burial followed at 4:00 pm in the South Fairview Cemetery in Wellington, TX under the direction of Horizon Funeral Home of Dalhart, TX Officiating was Rev. Bob McAlister, Minister to Senior Adults, First Baptist Church and Wayne Porter Deacon, First Baptist Church.Donna Beth Johnson was born November 24, 1942 in Grand Prairie, Texas to R L and Zetherie Allene (McBroom) Johnson. Donna was raised in Wellington, Texas and graduated from Wellington, High School in 1960. On August 14, 1960 she married Wesley L. Martin in Wellington. Donna retired in 1994, after 30 years working as a secretary for the Texas Department of Human Resources. She and Wesley enjoyed motorcycle tours and family. In 2005 they moved to Dalhart where they could be close to their family and wonderful grandchildren.Donna is survived by her husband Wesley Martin of Dalhart, TX her son: Kevin and his wife Jamie Martin of Dalhart, TX 3 grandchildren Gavin, Hayden and Emilee Martin all of Dalhart and a sister Lesa Wadley of Wellington, TX Preceded in death by her son: Jody Lynn Martin and her parents.
