Donald Frederick Hass, age 68, died Wednesday, January 28, 2009, in Arlington, Texas. Funeral Services were held at 2:00 PM Saturday, January 31, at the First United Methodist Church in Arlington, Texas, with Rev. David N. Mosser, pastor, officiating. Graveside services were held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, February 2, at the Memorial Park Cemetery in Dalhart, Texas. All Services are Central Time. Donald Frederick Hass was born October 9, 1940, in Clovis, New Mexico, to Marvin Samuel Hass and Velma Lucille (Hutchins) Hass. A long time resident of Arlington, Texas, Don moved to the Dallas-Ft. Worth area following graduation from Eastern New Mexico University in 1962. He married Wanda Lee Bell on November 27, 1975, in Clovis, New Mexico. Don worked for the Dallas General Accounting Offices as an investigative auditor from 1963 until his retirement in September 1995. He enjoyed playing guitar, growing tomatoes and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by a brother, Robert W. Hass, in 1998. Don is survived by his wife, Wanda Hass of Arlington, Texas. 2 Daughters, Lori-Lea Cobb of Arlington, Texas, and Theresa Ross and her husband Will also of Arlington, Texas. 1 Son, Kenneth Alan Hass and his wife Elizabeth of Moss Beach, California. 5 Grandchildren, George and Russell Cobb, Grayson and Carli Ross and Alexandra Hass. 3 Sisters, Betty Perry and her husband O.D. of Bayfield, CO; Barbara Barraza and her husband Ed of Tularosa, NM; and Sara Kelly of Houston, Texas. 2 Brothers, Jim Hass and his wife Judy of Clayton, NM and Phillip Hass and his wife Shana of Dalhart, TX And a number of nieces and nephews. The family suggests that memorials be made to Key Elementary PTA, 3621 Roosevelt Drive, Arlington, TX 76016
