Officiating: David Vincent Biography: Derrel Melvin Williamson was born February 17, 1928 in Byron, OK to Alfred and Olive (Walton) Williamson. Raised in the Texas Panhandle, Mr. Williamson graduated from Hartley High School in 1947. Derrel was known by many as "the welder" his ability to fix and repair nearly anything was a great asset to the Hartley Community. Darrel and Billie Jo were married May 22, 1949 and were together for 40 years until Billie Jo passed away 25 years ago. Derrel was a charter member of the Hartley Volunteer Fire Department and attend the Hartley Methodist Church. He truly loved his family and enjoyed a good Waltz. Preceded in death by his wife Billie Jo, his parents, his son Kenny; his two brothers- Laurence Alexander, and Lloyd Fullington, a sister- Louis Bruce; and also a grandson- Sgt. David A. Davis. Survivors include his daughters- C. Alice McCandless of Amarillo, TX, Linda K. Ogden of Amarillo, TX, and Vicky L. Barker of Amarillo, TX - Sons Joe M. Williamson of Seattle, WA, Wesley H.
