Darrel Wayne Quillin, 74, of Dalhart, TX went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 25, 2020. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 29, 2020 at the Memorial Park Cemetery in Dalhart, TX with Rusty Hancock officiating. Darrel was born on June 30, 1945 in Dalhart, TX to his loving parents, Ida Mae (Denny) and Wayne Quillin. He was the oldest of his two sisters. Darrel joined the Navy in 1964 and served his country in the Vietnam War. He was a mechanic for many years, as well as, owning and operating his own truck. He loved spending time outdoors, fishing, camping and cooking on the grill. He loved spending time with his family, friends and his dog, Troubles. Darrel is survived by his three sons; Stacey Quillin and wife Dawn of Dumas, TX, Dusty Quillin and wife Diana and DJ Quillin and Rachel Fuentes both of Dalhart, TX, his two sisters; Cheryl Quillin of Amarillo, TX and Debrah Quillin of Dalhart, TX, one niece, Shaina and one nephew, Brandon, seven grandchildren and one great grandchild. He is preceded in death by his parents, Wayne and Ida Mae Quillin and his son Denny Quillin. There will be a celebration of life following the services at the family owned, Texas Tavern.
