Homer Dale Davis, 56, died peacefully at his home in West, TX on Thursday, November 20, 2014Graveside services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 25, 2014, in Memorial Park Cemetery, Dalhart, with arrangements under the care of Horizon Funeral Home.Officiating was Fr. Phillip Ray, St. James Episcopal Church of Dalhart.Homer Dale Davis was born March 23, 1958 in Dalhart, TX to Homer Alvin Davis and Jacquelyn Beard Debenham Davis. Dale was raised in Dalhart, he was a boy scout and a member of the Central United Methodist Church. A 1976 Graduate of Dalhart High School, he attended Howard Payne University and West Texas A&M. Dale worked for his fathers Chrysler dealership, as well as working as a surveyor in east Texas. He retired to the City of West, TX. A kind hearted soul who struggled throughout his life with shyness, he was still able to make many friends who will miss him. He is survived by his mother Jackie Davis of Dalhart, TX, a sister Helen Ann Davis of Dalhart, TX and three Nephews Ramsey Daugherty, of Dalhart, TX Blair Daugherty and his wife Ashley of Channing, TX and James Asher Daugherty of Temple, TXMemorials in Lieu of Flowers St. James Episcopal Church or St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital
