Dale "Grover" Wray Cleveland, 63, passed away peacefully July 18, 2022 after a long, painful battle with Parkinsons Disease. We will have a Memorial & Celebration of Life at a later time. Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Horizon Funeral Home. Dale was born December 13, 1958 in Dallas, TX to Bobby Duane and Mary Jane (Smith) Cleveland. Dale grew up & attended school in Lead Hill, AR and furthered his education as a certified welder, heavy equipment operator, and auto mechanic at a technical school in Harrison, AR where he lived most of his adult life. Dale was a perfectionist even though he was more commonly known for his procrastination skills. He was a jack of all trades having worked in the oil fields, could operate any & all heavy equipment, loved to work on & repair vehicles, and had a passion for restoring his 1967 Mercury Cougar XR7. He loved talking about working on his car more than he actually did! His specialty & occupation was building metal buildings. He had a great love for animals but especially his dogs: Teddy Bear, Sony, Shorty & Nikki. He was an avid rock-n-roller who loved going to rock concerts but had developed quite a taste for country music in his later years. He loved to drink beer, eat pizza and dance to whatever tune was playing. He is preceded in death by his father, Bobby Cleveland, and his mother, Mary Jane Smith. He is survived by his sister, Pennie Deniece and husband Danny Nicholson of Dalhart, TX; sister, Dawn and husband David Pratt of Mountain Home, AR; brother, Gregory Scott Barron and wife, Nancy of Grande Saline, TX; and brother, Sean Barragan, and wife Veronica of Tacoma, WA, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and aunts. We are so grateful to the staff at Coon Memorial Nursing Home where he spent the last year of his life for all their love and care!!!
