Daisy Anna Ortiz Huseman, 63, passed away Monday, April 26, 2021. A memorial service will be held Friday, April 30, 2021 at Newlife Fellowship at 6:00 p.m. Daisy was born in Trementina, New Mexico on Monday, June 17, 1957 to Jose and May (Allemand) Ortiz. Daisy enjoyed reading, gardening and cooking. There wasnt anything Daisy could not cook or bake. Many enjoyed the spoils of her labor. And she could spend many hours a day curled up with a good novel. She love loved her daughters and grandchildren dearly. Spending time with her family and friend were always the highlight of her day. Daisy is survived by two daughters: Geraldine (Jolynn) and husband Jeffrey Freeman of Dalhart, Texas, Dorothy and husband Shawn Byrd of Amarillo, Texas, three granddaughters: Morgan Packard, Mikayla Waller and Whitney Waller, two grandsons: Corbin Byrd and Wayce Waller, three great grandsons: Reni Romero, Caleb Waller and Kaspen Waller, two sisters: Imelda Rodriguez of Las Vegas, New Mexico and lucy Romero of Dalhart, Texas, two brothers: Ernest Ortiz and wife Eva of Bernalillo, New Mexico and Carlos Ortiz and wife Missie of Tucumcari, New Mexico, many nieces and nephews, and Cindy Ramirez and DVonne Morin whom she loved liked daughters. Daisy is preceded in death by her companion, Rosendo Chavira, her parents, Jose Ortiz and May (Allemand) Ortiz, sister, Celina Lujan, brother, Ben Ortiz.
