D.J. Rojas, 36, died Saturday, January 5, 2013 in Dalhart, Texas. Services were held at 1:00 pm Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at Lincoln Street Baptist Church, Dalhart, Texas. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery, under the direction of Horizon Funeral Home, Dalhart, TX Officiating was Rusty Hancock, Pastor, Lincoln Street Baptist Church, Dalhart, TX.Domingo Rojas Jr. was born December 29, 1976 in Dalhart, TX to Domingo and Ila (Montoya) Rojas. He grew up in Dalhart and will always be remembered for his contagious smile and his willingness to lend a helping hand to anyone that needed it. D.J. was a very giving person and loved being with his family and friends. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing and hunting. He had his favorite sports: he enjoyed NASCAR - #3 Dale Earnhart and the #7 John Elway - Denver Broncos He wore the Bronco logo as he cheered them to victory. As each day passes - D.J.s smile will be remembered and he will forever be in the hearts of all who knew him. Survivors include his father Domingo Rojas of Dalhart, TX, his grandmother Eva Rojas of Dalhart, TX Sisters - Carla Carranza of Amarillo, TX, Eva Whitehurst and her husband Jason of Dalhart, TX, and Taysha Rojas of Dalhart, TX Brothers David and Johnny Carranza of Amarillo, TX, and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great nephews as well as cousins. Preceded in death by - his mother Ila Rojas, Grandparents Marcelino Rojas, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Montoya, Aunt Cathy Franks and Uncle Tony Rojas.
