Crystal Herber, 62, died Sunday, April 29, 2018 in Dalhart, TX
Services were held at 2:00 pm on Friday, May 4, 2018 at the First Baptist Church in Texline, Texas. Burial was in the Texline Memorial Cemetery in Texline, TX. Officiated by Billy Rammage ~ Under the care of Horizon Funeral Home.
Crystal Lea Studebaker was born October 16, 1955 in Elkhart, KS to Guy and Glenna (Regier) Studebaker. Raised in Elkhart and graduated from Elkhart HS in 1973 then from Panhandle State University in 1977 and added elementary degree from West Texas A&M in 1981 and finished her graduate studies from Texas Tech in 2006. A teacher and a Texan at heart, she reminded everyone she got to Texas as soon as possible.
At 12 years old Crystal was baptized at the First Christian Church in Elkhart, KS and she married Tim Herber in the same church on May 26, 1984.
Crystals hobbies included a love for horses from childhood, played softball as a child, enjoyed music of all kinds all her life, learned to love poetry, was an avid reader, loved to cook, and quilt, and fish for trout in Lake City, CO.
Survivors include her husband Tim Herber, two daughters: Jena Whitney husband Tad of Kim, CO, and Valerie Herber of Amarillo, TX, a sister Sandy Barnes of Overland, Park, KS as well as 3 granddaughters: Katy, Allie and Laurie Whitney all of Kim, CO.
Preceded in death by her parents, and 1 brother: Artie Bill
