Cory Christopher Lucero, 43 died Wednesday, March 14, 2007 in Amarillo, TX Graveside Services were held on Tuesday, March 20 at 2:00 PM in Channing Cemetery in Channing, TX Father Scott Raef, Pastor St. Anthonys Catholic Church officiated. He is survived by his Mother: Marie Shackelford Sister: Ranne Cooley - Brother: Eric Shackelford all of Dalhart, TX - Uncle & Aunt: Ernie & Stephanie Lucero of Channing, TX and Jay & Natalie Lucero of Dalhart, TX Nieces: Jadena, Stevie, & Paige Cooley of Dalhart, TX Nephews: Mikael & Preston Cooley of Dalhart, TX Cory is preceded in death by his Grandparents: Fred & Lilly Lucero Uncle: Gilbert Lucero of Channing, TX.Cory became a student at Boys Ranch in 1974 and graduated from there in 1982. He was a college graduate of Theology, an Artist and Leather Crafter. Cory loved Cliff diving and walking in the White Mountains of AZ. where he lived for 13 years and where he wanted to return. Cory had a heart as big as the great outdoors. He loved life just made some bad choices.
