Connie Keeton, 68, died Wednesday, November 11, 2015 in Dalhart, TXMemorial Services were held on Saturday, November 14, 2015 at 11:00 am in the First Baptist Church / Horizon Funeral Home Dalhart, TX Connie Ann Scarberry was born June 24, 1947 in Marysville, California to Cecil and Sue (Benham) Scarberry. She grew up in California and at the age of 16 she married Joe Keeton (her high school sweetheart). Connie and Joe had 3 wonderful children who enjoyed the luxury of a stay at home mom. With her as the center and rock of the family, Connie accomplished amazing things and passed on many great traits to her children, including her beauty and quick wit. She was easy to love, her home was always open and the food plentiful. Connie and her family want to especially thank Rojilio (Pedro) Flores for the care and love he showed for her yard.Survivors include her husband: Joe Keeton of Hartley, TX, a son: Mark Keeton of Hartley, TX, 2 daughters: Leslie and husband Stan Tankersley of Dalhart, TX and Danielle Keeton of Dalhart, TX as well as 3 sisters: Ruby Scarberry of Laytonville, CA and Donna McCormick and Brenda Taylor of Chester, IL 5 Grandchildren: Sheldon Keeton, Makinna Mhoon, Britney Cournoyer, Melissa Tankersley and Isaac Tankersley. 3 Great Grandchildren: Maya Cournoyer, Wesley Keeton and Breeley Ann GonzalezShe is preceded in death by her Parents and a brother Sam Scarberry.
