Connie Hopson, a beacon of kindness, love, and selflessness, passed away peacefully on September 27, 2023, in Dalhart, TX. Born on January 20, 1943, in Wichita, KS, she was a cherished member of her community for over six decades. Her Funeral Service is scheduled for 2 o clock in the afternoon on Saturday, September 30, 2023, at First Christian Church with Pastor Barry Walker officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Hopson will lay in state from noon until 8 o clock in the evening on Friday at the funeral home. Arrangements are entrusted to Horizon Funeral Home. Connie was a devoted wife to Robert A. Hopson, with whom she shared a blissful marriage since September 20, 1961. She was a loving mother to Gena Lausch and husband Kyle of Scott City, KS, Judy Gomez and husband Rory of Amarillo, TX, and Robert Paul Hopson and wife Lisa of Washington, DC, her brother, Ronnie Osborn, six grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Lena Osborn. A proud graduate of Texhoma High School, Connie was a lifelong learner who found joy in simple pleasures. Her interests were as varied as they were fulfilling, from sewing and cooking to volunteering and chasing her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a steadfast member of the First Christian Church; Connie's faith was a guiding light in her life. Her generous spirit and warm heart left an indelible mark on everyone she met. Connie Hopson's legacy of love, kindness, and selflessness will continue to inspire all who were fortunate to know her.
