Cody Allen Figures, age 23, passed away on April 2, 2022 in Dalhart, Texas. Cody will be in state at Horizon Funeral Home Friday, April 8, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 9, 2022 at Memorial Park Cemetery in Dalhart, Texas. Robert Ledbetter will be officiating. Arrangements are left in the care of Horizon Funeral Home. Cody was born on July 24, 1998 in Dumas, Texas to Terry and Claudia Figures. Cody graduated from Dalhart High School in 2016 where he enjoyed shop class with his friends. He enrolled in welding classes at Frank Phillips College Rahll Campus in Dalhart and was looking forward to graduating with his welding certificates. Most recently, Cody was named to the Frank Phillips College Presidents List for the fall 2021 semester. Since he was young, Cody enjoyed making people laugh. He liked to tell jokes and hangout with his family and friends. Cody had a heart of gold and although his life was not without its hardships, he looked for the good in everything and everyone. Cody was wise beyond his years and an inspiration to all who had the privilege of knowing him. Cody is survived by his parents, Terry and Claudia Figures; grandparents, Johnny and Maria Trujillo; sisters, Whitney Salas, Paige Todd, Anika Figures; uncles, Ricky Figures, Ever Hermosillo; aunts, Pat Gross, Yolanda Hermosillo, Cindy Hermosillo; and countless others who have loved and supported him throughout his life. He was preceded in death by his uncle, Bill Gross. Honorary pallbearers will be Brett Johnson, Ty Aragon, Xavien Tiggs, Pasqual Cervante, Johnny Lee Trujillo, Ty Thaxton, and Haylie Tiggs.
