Clyde Layman -78 - died Sunday, January 13, 2008 in Dalhart, Texas.Funeral Services for Clyde were held Thursday January 17th at 2 oclock in the Lincoln Street Baptist Church in Dalhart. Burial followed in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Horizon Funeral HomeClyde was born Nov. 3rd 1929 in Hereford to Allen Terrell Layman and Ethel Lorraine (Decker) Layman. His family later moved to Climax, CO for several years. Clyde was an active member in the U.S. Army where he was stationed in Germany. After the army he moved back to Hereford where he met Bonnie Mae Firestone. Finally, Clyde and Bonnie moved to Dalhart in 1955. They then later established and operated the local Corral RV Park for 48 years. He is survived by his wife Bonnie of Dalhart, three sons; Allen and wife Marsha of Dalhart, Stanley and wife Joni of Lebanon, PA, and Newton and wife Jennifer of Amarillo. One brother, M.J. and wife Elizabeth of Eden, NC. He is also survived by four grandsons, two granddaughters, and three great-grandchildren.He is preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Robbie Nell, and one brother Charles. The family request memorials are given to the First Assembly of God Church in Dalhart.
