Claudia Schellenberg Age: 93 died Tuesday, April 11, 2006 in Dalhart, TXServices were held as 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 13, 2006 at First Baptist Church. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery, Dalhart, Texas. Under the direction of Horizon Funeral Home, Dalhart, TXOfficiating was Rodney Weatherly, Minister of First Baptist Church in Dalhart, with Clifford Dane, assisting. Claudia Helen Rudd was born November 29, 1912 to James and Lula Berry Rudd on the family farm northwest of Texhoma, Oklahoma. At the age of sixteen Claudia accepted Jesus Christ into her life and her faith has been an inspiration to family and friends. She graduated high school in Goodwell, Oklahoma in 1931. Claudia graduated from Panhandle Agricultural and Mechanical College in Goodwell, Oklahoma in 1935 with a degree in Home Economics and Science. Claudia married John Schellenberg on June 27, 1937, he died July 20, 1960 in Dalhart. Following Johns death Claudia became a Licensed Vocational Nurse and worked as a LVN at Coon Memorial Hospital and Home for twenty-five years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Dalhart volunteering in the nursery Sunday School department.
