Charles E. Schoonover, 86, died Saturday, November 7, 2015 in Dalhart, Texas. Family visitation was held on Sunday, November 8, 2015. Services were held on Thursday, November 12, 2015 at Wagley Funeral Home, Adrian, Michigan. Interment followed at Canandaigua Cemetery, under the direction of Wagley Funeral Home of Adrian, Michigan.Friends & Family visitation was held at 11:00 am the day of the service. Charles E. Schoonover was born March 4, 1929 in Morenci, Michigan to Clarence and Lilian Schoonover. He graduated from Morenci High School in 1946 and married Juanette R. Naylor on August 26, 1956. Charles and his wife lived most of their life in Canandaigua, Michigan, where he was a factory worker and full time farmer. In 1990, they moved to Dalhart, where Charles continued to farm with his son until 2010. Charles was a member of Lakeview Methodist Church of Dalhart. He is survived by his son, Chuck and wife Teresa of Dalhart; one sister, Elaine and husband Dennis Koenig; one brother, Carl and his wife Pauline Schoonover; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
