Charles Randell Clements, 79, of Dalhart passed away peacefully with his family beside him at his home on Wednesday, January 4, 2023. Charles will lay in state for viewing on Sunday, January 8, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Horizon Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 9, 2023 at Central United Methodist Church in Dalhart with Pastor T.C. Broom officiating. A private burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery in Dalhart. Charles was born January 5, 1943 in Dalhart to Jim and Margaret Clements of Conlen, TX. He attended school in Stratford, TX. He married Linda Austin on December 9, 1961 where they made their home in Conlen, TX. Charles was involved in farming, cattle hauling and livestock shows for many years. He moved to Dalhart in 2004 and semi-retired and drove a truck for Jim McAdams. Charles was a member of Central United Methodist Church. Charles is survived by his wife of 61 years Linda Clements of the home, daughter, Kim McCracken and husband Randy of Stratford, son, Gary Clements and wife Cindy of Stratford, 3 grandkids: Spencer Clements, Shay Clements and Roy Don McCracken, a sister, a brother, many nieces, nephews and cousins.
