Charles Chism,91 of Dalhart, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loved ones.

A memorial service will be scheduled in the Spring to celebrate Charles life. Charles was not a fan of the cold weather and he requested that we plan a celebration of his life in the Spring. Arrangements are entrusted with Horizon Funeral Home.

Charles was born August 24th, 1932 in Chillicothe Tx.to ldalee Thomas Chism and Luther Chism. Charles was the second of eight siblings. Charles loved staying busy in his backyard, his daily drives through Dalhart, his morning McDonalds breakfast, chauffeuring his grandkids to their activities, and his weekly visits with his great granddaughter Savana.

On June lSth,1962 he married Robbie Mae Davis. Together they raised twin daughters Sherry and Terry, and a son Doug. They were blessed with eight grandchildren Trevor, Dylan, Megan Elizabeth, Richard, Gunner, Jagger, and Colton, and great granddaughter Savana.

Charles is preceded in death by his parents Luther and ldalee, his wife Robbie, brothers J.T., Weldon, Cletus Ray, Q.D. and Roy, his son Doug, and grandson Trevor.

Charles is survived by his daughters Sherry of Dalhart, Terry of Amarillo, daughter in law Robbie of Oklahoma, sister Barbara of Dalhart, brother Wesley of Decatur, grandsons Dylan; Gunner, Jagger, Colton of Dalhart, Richard of Oklahoma, granddaughters Megan of Amarillo and Elizabeth of Oklahoma, great granddaughter Savana Cover Chism of Hartley.
