Survivors include his wife: Wanda Bevans of Dalhart, - Son: Grail Bevans of Dalhart,- Daughter: Brenda Bevans, of Dalhart, - and Patti and Bryan Smalley of Dalhart - - Mother: Audrey Davidson, Bernice, LA - Sisters: Dora Doyle, Bernice, LA, - Judy Patton, Ruston, LA, - Betty Welch, Bernice, LA, - Brothers: Billy Jo Bevans, Bernice, LA, - Loren Bevans, McAlester, OK, - Randy Bevans, Perryton, TX, - Six grandchildren and 3 Great GrandchildrenCharles Cecil Bevans was born September 30, 1939 in Canadian, OK to Cecil and Audrey (Mines) Bevans- Charles was raised in Oklahoma, Louisiana and Texas and on June 24, 1959 he married Wanda Brown here in Dalhart. He worked with heavy equipment from Louisiana to Alaska and in 1983 he started working for the Co-op in Dalhart retiring in 1992. Charles and Wanda raised many foster children. He was a member of Lincoln Street Baptist Church; he enjoyed his family and horses, and going to drink coffee with the guys.
