Casey L. Howell, 57, died Sunday, August 28, 2016 in Amarillo, Texas. A Celebration of Life service was held at 10:00 am on Friday, September 2, 2016 at Lincoln Street Baptist Church in Dalhart, Texas. Burial followed at the Memorial Park Cemetery under the care of Horizon Funeral Home. Casey L. Howell was born on January 12, 1959 in Dalhart to Clois & Alice Howell. Casey grew up in Dalhart and attended Dalhart High School. He worked for Gebos for 22 years in Dalhart, Dumas & Amarillo. He then went on to finish his career at Advance Auto Store. Casey was a loyal and hard worker and had a heart for serving people. He was recognized for General Manager of the year in 2013 for his district but was very humble in sharing that with others. He always would try to bring a little fun to work by joking with customers & coworkers. He was truly a team player and enjoyed forming relationships with his coworkers. Casey had a passion for classic cars & hot rods. He enjoyed Nascar and dirt track racing. He was passionate about keeping old country & rock music alive and enjoyed playing his guitar. He loved to snow ski in Colorado along with water skiing and fishing trips with his family and friends. Loved to reminisce about old times, tell jokes & swap stories. He thought everyone needed a good joke & a laugh. His grandchildren meant the world to him and all their accomplishments. Casey is survived by his wife, Debbie, a son Vance and his wife Missy Howell of Amarillo, TX, 2 daughters- Kristi and her husband, Richard Sim of Amarillo, TX and Keriann and her husband Jon Sullins of Dalhart, TX. As well as his 3 brothers- JR Howell & his wife, Lynn of Marietta, OK, Royce Howell of Dalhart, TX and Doug Howell & his wife, Synthia of Dalhart, TX and his 9 grandchildren- Lenora, Chandler, Peyton, Hallie, Michaela, Mattie, Josh, Blake and Klara. Everyone is invited to The Roc located at the First Baptist Church at 1000 E 16th St in Dalhart after the graveside service for food and fellowship.
