Carolea Ellen Matthews, 84, died on Monday, November 25, 2013 in Dalhart, TexasMemorial Services were held at 2:00 pm on Monday, December 2, 2013 at the Seventh Day Adventist Church.Carolea Ellen Huddleston was born May 21, 1929 in Texhoma, OK to Samauel and Roxie (Worth) Huddleston. Carolea was raised in Amarillo, TX where her mother owned and operated a Caf at Tradewinds Airport. Carolea married J.C. Matthews in 1950, he died in 2005. She helped him with his contracting business and worked as a housekeeper for the Travelers Inn and Comfort Inn. She enjoyed working in her yard and was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Survivors include a daughter: Bonnie Matthews of Dalhart, TX. 1 son: Edwin Matthews of Dalhart, TX A grand-daughter: Debra & her husband Quillin Cassidy of Dumas, TX 3 great- grand daughters: Anastasia, Elizabeth, Victoria Cassidy and 1 great grandson: Kyle Cassidy all of Dumas, TX. Preceded in death by: her parents, her husband J.C, a sister: Noxie Harder and 2 brothers: Carl and Allen.
