Carl Reed age 74, passed away April 17, 2011 in Dallas, TX Graveside Services were held Wed. April 20th, at 2:00 pm at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Rowlett, TX.Officiating will be Deacon Joe Perez of St, Michael's Catholic Church, Garland, TX Carl Reed was born Feb 17, 1937 in Dalhart, TX to Harry and Dalma (Fenton) Reed. He attended schools in Dalhart and graduated high school in Dalhart. Carl married Marilyn Engler in May 1959 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Dalhart. He joined the United States Army and was stationed at Fort Sill, OK. Their oldest son Daniel was born there. They later moved to Amarillo and he worked for Mobil Oil. Their second son Brett was born there. Carl and family moved to Dalhart and Carl was a Mobil consignee. Several years later he moved to San Antonio with Mobil and was in accounts payable. Mobil then moved them to Little Rock, AR and then Oklahoma City, OK. They finally settled in Dallas in 1976 and have been there until the present. They enjoyed RV-ing and spending time with friends and family. Survivors include his Wife: Marilyn Reed of Garland, Sons: Daniel Reed of Garland, Brett Reed of Dallas, Texas, Sister; Linda and her husband Ed Hoebing of Dallas, Sister in law, Judy and her husband Randy Bradford of Dalhart, TX, Brother in law: Dan and his wife Margaret Engler of Fair Oaks Ranch, TX, Grandson: Daniel Reed of Dallas, TX Several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews
