He was raised in the Ruidoso, Weed, Tularosa, New Mexico area. He worked for various people in this area prior to moving to Dalhart, TX in 1999. At the time of his death from the single car accident near Hardesty, OK, he was employed by Gruver Redi-Mix where he drove a cement truck. Bud enjoyed camping, fishing, gardening, do it yourself projects, and spending time with his family. He was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend.
