Brian Lee Stone, age 49, passed away on June 24, 2012 near Goodwell, Oklahoma.Services were held at 3:00 pm on Friday June 29, 2012, at the First Baptist Church in Dalhart, TX. Brian was born October 25, 1962, to Jerry and Marcella Stone of Dalhart, TX and graduated in 1982 from Dalhart High School. Brian was employed by the Union Pacific Railroad for ten years. He retired from the Dalhart Wolves chain gang, volunteer Fire department, with prior employment at Mission Auto, Cargill, Hunters Construction, Caprock Feeders, and Substitute Teaching. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, coaching little league sports, extended community involvement, and an avid Churchgoer. He surrounded himself in his families and friends lives which became his greatest hobby of all. Brian was preceded in death by his mother, Marcella Stone of Dalhart, TX, and Brother-in-law Steve Laurent of Sunray, TX. Brian is survived by his wife, Cindy Stone of Dalhart, daughter Samantha Meredith of Georgia, daughter Sidonia Alo and husband Daniel of South Carolina, daughter Halee Stone of Amarillo, Son Robert Lemley of Amarillo, and daughter Jade Stone of Dalhart, his father Jerry Stone and wife Theresa of Dalhart, and brothers Joel Stone of Amarillo, Michael Stone of Lamar, Colorado, and James Stone and wife Tammy of Lubbock, and six nephews, two nieces, eight great-nephews, and four great-nieces.Family requests memorials be made to the First Baptist Church of Dalhart, TX.
