Boots Bezner, 88 died: Friday, February 03, 2006 in Amarillo, Texas Prayer Vigil was held at 5:30 pm, Sunday, February 5, 2006 at St. Anthonys Catholic Church, Deacon Ron Hein officiatedFuneral Mass was held at 11:30 am Monday, February 6, 2006 at St. Anthonys Catholic Church, Dalhart, Texas with Father Scott Raef, Pastor. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery, under the direction of Horizon Funeral Home, Dalhart, Texas.Survivors include her Husband A. J. Doc Bezner of Dalhart, Texas Sons: Jody & his wife Kay Bezner of Dalhart, TX Tommy and his wife Sue Bezner of Amarillo, TX Daughters: Sharon & her husband Jerry Dunnam of Midland, TX Joyce and her husband Archie Brown of Ben Wheeler, TX Beth Moore of Dalhart, Texas and Charlotte & her husband Terry Bilbrey of Irving, TX - 2 Sisters: Lora Kimmons of Corpus Christi, TX and Ginger Malone of Newaygo, MI. 2 Brothers: Willard Rogers of Bowie, TX and Clifton Rogers of Wichita Falls, TX8 grandchildren, Michael, Mitchel, Stephen & Jason Bezner, Shailete Dunnam Abbott & Shara Dunnam Faircloth, Bryan Brown , & Travis Bilbrey 12 great-grandchildren, Madeline, Hattie-Carole, Georgia Kay, Katherine, Benjamin, Kirsten, Beau & Barrett Bezner, Rachel, Jones & Jaxson Abbott & Tucker FairclothPreceded in death by: her parents, 2 brothers, and 4 sistersEttie Ola Rogers was born December 8, 1917 in Conduff, TX to Hal & Hattie (Reed) Rogers. Boots was raised in Seymour, TX and graduated form High School in Megargel, TX. She was Miss Seymour in 1937. On June 29, 1940 she married Alban J. Doc Bezner. They moved to Dalhart from Deaf Smith County in 1969. Boots was lovingly referred to as a professional volunteer. She was a 4-H leader since 1950 and in June of 1979 she was Distinguished Volunteer 4-H Leader, then on April 20, 1985 she received the 7 WHO CARE award and in 1990 was Citizen of the Year as well as Coon Memorial Hospital Auxiliarys most logged hours of all volunteers. She was an active member of St. Anthonys Catholic Church Coon Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, and Keep Dalhart Beautiful Assoc. etc. If she could help she would!
