Bonnie B. DeJarnett, 99 - died Saturday, December 10, 2005 at Coon Memorial Nursing Home, Dalhart, TX where she had been a resident. Services were held at 2:00 pm, Thursday, December 15, 2005 at Llano Pantheon Mausoleum in Amarillo, Texas, under the direction of Horizon Funeral Home. Dalhart, Texas.Officiating was Dick Brooks, Pastor of the First Presbyterian Church of Dalhart, Texas. Mrs. DeJarnett was born Bonnie Belle Drake, September 8, 1906 in Pleasant Valley, Texas, and was raised in the Clarendon area. She married Finis A. DeJarnett July 28, 1925, in Clarendon, Texas. The DeJarnetts moved to Dalhart in 1945 and lived on their farm-ranch 30 miles NW of Dalhart until the late 1960s when they moved into town. The DeJarnetts were long time members of the XIT Rangers and were avid square dancers. Mrs. DeJarnett a gifted musician was well known for playing the piano with a sears catalog on the music stand. Bonnie was a member of the Presbyterian Church. Her husband, Finis A.
