Bonnie Peden Artz, 94, died Wednesday, April 26, 2017 in Lewisville, TX. Graveside services were held at 2pm Monday, May 1, 2017 in Memorial Park Cemetery with Robert Stout officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Horizon Funeral Home of Dalhart. Bonnie Louise Ford was born July 16, 1922 in Pilot Point, TX. Her Parents Gano and Allie (Robertson) Ford. Bonnie was raised in Dalhart and graduated from Dalhart high school. Bonnie married Milton Peden in 1941, and they made their home in Hartley, TX. Milton died in 1971 and Bonnie moved to Dalhart where she worked for the City of Dalhart and Wilmas Dress Shop. In the mid 80s Bonnie married Ralph Artz and they farmed until his death in 1990. Bonnie returned to Dalhart and enjoyed being active with the First Baptist Church, Vacation Bible School, and other church and community activities like Meals on Wheels and playing bridge. In 2010 Bonnie moved to Denton, TX and later to Lewisville, TX to be near her daughter Debbie, they made quite a team and enjoyed laughing and visiting with family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Milton Peden and Ralph Artz, her parents, a son: Larry and a sister. Bonnie is survived by her daughters Debbie Moore and son-in-law Mike Moore of The Colony, TX, and Vicki Miller of Hobe Sound, FL. 3 Grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren as well as 2 stepsons, 4 step-grandchildren, 2 step great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
