Bobby Charles Wilson, 83, died Tuesday, June 18, 2013 in Amarillo, TexasServices were held at 10:00 AM on Friday, June 21, 2013 at Lincoln Street Baptist Church, Dalhart, Texas. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Horizon Funeral Home, Dalhart, TXBobby Charles Wilson was born September 21, 1929 in Spearman, TX to Odos C. and Nora Mae (Hoff) Wilson. He grew up in Coldwater and Dalhart, graduated from Dalhart High School and served in the United State Army Air Corp. Bobby married Merle Johnson at her parents home in Geneva, Alabama on July 7, 1951. Bob & Merle moved back to Dalhart after his discharge from the Air Force in January 1952. Bob worked for Bruce Nance as a bookkeeper and mechanic before opening Farmers Service and Supply. He later purchased International Harvester and in 1988 he became an owner/operator for National Carriers. He retired in 2002. Bobby was a private pilot, a lay preacher, a deacon at Lincoln St. Baptist Church and a member of the Masonic Lodge. His hobbies included building model airplanes, restoring antique tractors and visiting museums. Survivors include daughters Jessie Snodgrass and her husband Mike of Saginaw, TX, Sue Meyer and her husband Daniel of Dalhart, TX and son Keith Wilson and his wife Janet of Dalhart, TX- 13 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. 1 brother Tommy Wilson of Wichita Falls, TX, Preceded in death by his wife Merle who died in 2011, a son Tim, his parents, and 1 brother.
