Robert (Bobby) Glen Green, 85, died Monday, January 04, 2010 in Hartley, TX.Graveside Services were held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, January 6, 2010 at The Hartley Cemetery, Hartley, Texas.Memorial Services were held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, January 7, 2010 at the Hartley Baptist Church, Hartley, Texas.Robert Glen Green was born December 14, 1924 in Dalhart to Robert H. and Emma Lou (Bryant) Green. After graduating from Hartley High School he began farming in the Hartley area with his father in 1943. He married Jackie Lou Kinard on Jan. 13, 1944. They moved to a farm eight miles south of Hartley. He produced milo, wheat and corn. He was active in farming from 1943 to 1990.Bobby Glen was a member of the First Baptist Church in Hartley, and served on many boards including Farmer Supply Co-op for 25 years, ASC County Committeeman for 9 years, Director of Dalhart Chamber of Commerce for one term, District Lion membership from 1970 to 1993, Rita Blanca Electric Board 1973 1998 including serving as President and Chairman of the Board from 1982 to 1998. Member of the Golden Spread Electric board 1985 1998 and President Panhandle Empire 1984 thru 1998. He is survived by his Daughter Cheryl Coleman and her husband Neal of Amarillo, TX, Daughter in law Ann Green of Hartley and a sister Joyce Moreland and her husband Morris of Roswell, GA. Grandchildren -Marsha Wright, Glen Green, Brad Green, Chad Larsen, Cory Larsen, and Richie Maddox. 12 great grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchildBobby Glen is preceded in death by his wife Jackie Kinard Green, son Robert G. Green Jr., Brother Roy Bert Green and his parents. Memorials may be made to the Hartley Baptist Church, American Heart Association, Coon Memorial Hospice or a favorite Charity.
