Robert R. (Bob) Brown, 81, passed away Thursday, October 29, 2020 in Dalhart, Texas. Graveside service will be held Tuesday, November 3, 2020 in Memorial Park Cemetery, Dalhart, Texas at 1:30 p.m. Bob Brown was born to Carrie Lelia (Kent) and Austin F. Brown on Thursday, August 17, 1939 in his family home in the Bunker Hill Community. He served in the U.S. Navy after high school. He returned home and began farming for many years in the Perico area and later began farming between Dalhart and Hartley. Bob married Bonnie F. Hemphill on January 30, 1970 in Clayton, New Mexico. In 1979 he and Dale Reagan went to Auctioneer School and formed the company Reagan & Brown Auctioneers. Bob had a passion for music and guitar from a very young age. He loved nothing more than gathering with friends and family, singing and playing gospel and country music. Bob truly loved being with his family and grandkids. Bob is survived by his wife, Bonnie F. Brown of Dalhart, TX, his daughter, Kelly Willard and husband Jay, two sons: Elton Turley and wife Tamra and Quint Brown and wife Rashea all of Dalhart, TX, his grandchildren: Kayla Willard, Kody Willard, Kyle Willard, Joslynn Brown and husband Jacob, Sheldon Turley, Skilar Hunt and husband Holden, and Burkley Brown, three great grandchildren: Briggs Turley, Barrett Hunt and Asher Brown, a sister, Glenna Robinson of Amarillo, TX and numerous nieces and nephews. Bob is preceded in death by his parents, Austin and Lelia Brown, three brothers: Kent Brown, Wayne Brown and Bill Brown and his four sisters: Evelyn Gibson, Ruth Lathem, Cletus Gross and Doris Laney.
