Bob Barrow, 90, died Saturday, September 7, 2013 in Amarillo, Texas.Graveside Services were held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, September 10, 2013 in Memorial Park Cemetery, Dalhart, Texas. Pastor Leon Laney Spiritual Life Center - officiated.Robert Lee Barrow was born January 24, 1923 in Wylie, TX to William Solomon Barrow and Lillain Beulah (Putman) Barrow. A WWII Veteran, Bob was raised in Collin County where he farmed and picked cotton before he joined the US Army in 1943. After the war he came to Dalhart and on June 22, 1946 he married Martha Honeycutt in Clayton, NM. They made their home in Dalhart. Bob worked as a mechanic with Carter Motor company before starting his own business - Bob Barrow Automotive. He retired after 40 years. He as a member of the First Baptist Church and enjoyed fishing and golf. He is preceded in death by his parents and his wife Martha, a son Dennis Warren Barrow, 8 Brothers and 4 sisters. Survivors include his daughter Bonnie Morris of Dalhart, TX a son Rick and his wife Vanessa Barrow of Dumas, TX. One Brother Ernie Barrow of Dalhart, TX. 5 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
