Billie Louise Stilwell, 95, departed her earthly life in Dalhart, Texas on Thursday, November 24, 2016. Memorial Services were held at 2:00 pm Sunday, November 27, 2016 at Grace Lutheran Church, Dalhart, TX Funeral arrangements entrusted to Horizon Funeral Home.Officiating was Pastor John Miller III of Grace Lutheran Church in Dalhart, TexasLouise Zeiler was born to William H. & Laura (Pearson) Zeiler on April 25, 1921 in Edgewood Arsenal, Maryland. Louise was one of seven siblings (5 Sisters and 1 Brother).Louise Zeiler met and married Charles Robert Stilwell Sr. (aka Blackie) in Pensacola, FL in 1942. Louise and Blackie Stilwell decided to be a military family for 25 years, traveling the world and the United States, retiring in 1962 to St. Augustine, Fl and eventually moved to Dalhart, Texas where they worked as caretakers for the XIT Rangers for several years. Louise was a beloved military wife, homemaker, mother, grandmother and member of the Grace Lutheran Church. She loved her family dearly and will be missed by all that knew her.Survivors include her sons- Bob Stilwell of Dalhart, TX and Michael & his wife, Dana Stilwell of Amarillo, TX. She is also survived by her grandchildren- Mark Stilwell & his wife, Elizabeth of Dalhart, Texas, Brian Stilwell and his wife, Denise (Peach) of Clarkesville, Georgia and Sarah Louis Stilwell of St. Augustine, FL as well as 4 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren. Billie is preceded in death by both her parents, her husband, Charles Robert Stilwell, Sr., a son Billy Stilwell who died in 1949 and her granddaughter, Michelle Fila Stilwell.
