Billie Bill Headding, 78, died on Tuesday, October 10, 2006 in Dalhart, Texas Graveside Services were held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, October 14, 2006 in Memorial Park Cemetery. Rusty Hancock, Pastor of the Lincoln Street Baptist Church officiated. Survivors include his wife Betty Headding of Dalhart, TX - 5 sons: Gary & his wife Carol Headding of Amarillo, TX Doug & his wife Ellen Headding of Colorado Springs, CO Galen & his wife Bonny Headding of Dumas, TX - Jeff & his wife Teresa Headding of Dalhart, TX and Mike & his wife Nelisa Headding of Lawton, OK 1 Daughter: Debbie & Her husband Jessie Ray of Westminster, CO 1 Sister: Dorothy Trueblood of Pueblo, CO 16 grandchildren 25 great-grandchildren and 1 great great-grand child. Preceded in death by his parents 6 brothers and 4 sisters and one sonBorn to William Franklin & Flora (Lee) Headding on June 1, 1928 in Hartman, Colorado. He was raised in Hartman and graduated from Hartman High School in 1947. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He and Betty Ragle were married June 18, 1949, and lived in Holly, CO. The Headdings moved to Dalhart in 1964, where he worked for Stephens Custom Carpets. Billie then worked for City of Dalhart as the Water Superintendent until he retired in 1992. He was a member of the First Christian Church. He enjoyed wood working as his hobby.
