Billie Joe Brown age 80 died Wednesday, September 10th in Amarillo, Texas. Graveside services were held Saturday, September 13 at 2:00 p.m. at Memorial Park Cemetery in Dalhart, Texas. Jerry Davey of Amarillo and Hal Rogers of Pleasant Valley Christian Church of Amarillo officiated. Billie J. Brown was born on February 21, 1928 in Dalhart, Texas to Clarence P. and Clemmie Brown. He was married to Cleo Schoellman on November 7, 1952 and was a contractor. Bill was a long time resident of Dalhart, Texas and moved to Amarillo 10 years ago. He was a member of Pleasant Valley Christian Church in Amarillo, Texas. Bill was an avid golfer and fisherman. He served in the US Air Force during WWII. Preceded in death by his wife Cleo Brown. Survived by his daughters ZoBeth & Richard Howell of Amarillo, and Deborah & Earl Reynolds of Amarillo. Grandchildren: Avery & Brett Beesley, Nathan & Jody Reynolds, Lissie & Brandon Stennett, Jennifer & Brian Rea, Josh & Christy Howell, Kendra & Blue Baggett, Dustin & Tracie Howell all of Amarillo. 14 Great-grandchildren: and a brother Harold Brown of Dalhart, Texas. The family suggests memorials be to BSA Hospice in Amarillo.
