Bill Green, 71 of Dalhart, passed away on Saturday, November 26, 2022. A Viewing is scheduled for Friday, December 2, 2022 from 10 oclock in the morning until 7 oclock in the evening. Family will be present from 5:00-7:00PM. Graveside Service is scheduled for 11 o' clock in the morning on Sunday, December 4, 2022 at Mitchell Cemetery with his son Troy Green officiating. Arrangements are entrusted to Horizon Funeral Home.
Bill was born on August 10, 1951 in Tulia, Texas to Floyd and Viola Green. Bill was the youngest of 4 siblings. He attended Tulia ISD and studied at Jacksonville College. Bill married Eden Mitchell on July 29, 1983. He worked as a Law enforcement officer, preacher, and retired from XIT Communications in 2017. Bill and Eden were married for 38 years until his wifes passing on September 6, 2021.
Bill was the father of five children and spent his life selflessly loving each one! In addition to caring for his family, he enjoyed camping, fishing, Gunsmoke, and his many dogs. Bill is preceded in death by his father Floyd, his mother Viola, his wife Eden, and his great grandson Andrew. He is survived by his siblings: two brothers Earl Green and Melvin Green, and his sister Florence Trinh. He is also survived by his children: Troy and Theresa Green of North Carolina, Lisa and Denis Comer of Borger, Amber and Mark Keyes of Flagstaff, Arizona, Michael and Hannah Green of Dalhart, Mitchell and Destiny Green of Dalhart, many grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Bill loved his family more than anything and they will miss him more and more with every passing day.
