Bill Ray Goodpasture, 81, died November 22, 2011 Memorial Services were held at 1:00 PM on Friday, December 9, 2011 at Memorial Park Cemetery, Dalhart, Texas. Bill Ray Goodpasture went home to the Lord on November 22, 2011. Bill was born December 16, 1930 in Vernon, Texas. He is preceded in death by his wife, Joan Goodpasture, his oldest son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Vonna Goodpasture, and his grandchildren, Lance and Brooke Goodpasture. He is survived by his youngest son and his wife, Joe and Janet Goodpasture, and their children, Caitlyn and William. He is also survived by his granddaughter, Brandi Ford, her husband Steve Ford and their three children, his great-grandchildren: Noah, Halle and Kandin. Bill was an active member in the Church of Christ all his life, serving as an Elder at the Dalhart Church of Christ, and a Deacon at San Pedro Church of Christ in San Antonio for a number of years. Bill was very sociable, making friends wherever he went. His greatest passions in life were being involved in the Church, flying, riding motorcycles and spending time with his family. He would entertain his grandchildren and great-grandchildren by telling them stories about his childhood growing up on a farm, riding motorcycles and flying a crop duster. His limeade drinks were a huge hit with the family, especially the youngest members. Some of the fondest memories the family has about granddad include sitting on his lap as young children and reading the newspaper with him while he spoon-fed them cooled coffee, and sharing time and sweet treats with him.
