Betty Heiskell, 80, died in Amarillo, TX on December 24, 2013.Services were held at First Baptist Church on Saturday December 28, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery in Dalhart, TX under the direction of Horizon Funeral Home.Betty Heiskell was born in Dalhart, TX to Dade and Lula Lee (Fitzgerald) Smith. She was raised in Dalhart, TX. Betty raised her four children in Dalhart. She was a member of Lincoln St. Baptist Church and Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and the Elks. In 1981 Betty went to school at Amarillo College for her LVN, after graduation she worked at Bivins Memorial Nursing Home for over twenty years and she retired in 2008. Betty is preceeded in death by one son Mike Heiskell and her parents.Survivors include her Daughters Beverly Culbertson and her husband Eddie of Lubbock, TX , Jimmie Kay Jones and her husband Elbert of Dalhart, TX. Her son Tim Heiskell and his wife Shanna of Amarillo, TX. Grandchildren, Amy Courts, Tommy Heiskell and his wife Krisha, Heather Anderson and her husband Lance, Stephanie Dodson and her husband Jason, Cody Culbertson and his wife Melissa, Ashley Heiskell Johnson, Eric Rooks, Jeremy Rooks and his wife Jaime, Amanda Knight and her husband Craig, Christopher Jones, and Joshua Jones. Great grandchildren Kayla Courts, Kristen Courts, Broc Heiskell, Jessica Heiskell, Annika Anderson, Caitlyn Dodson, Carson Dodson, Logan Culbertson, Elijah Johnson, Gracen Johnson, Jonathan Heiskell, Brylee Rooks, Savanah Rooks, Madelyn Rooks, Austin Knight, Lexi Knight, Keagan Knight, Ashton Knight, Bentley Jones, Hunter Jones, Rylan Jones.
