Berniece Burnett passed from this life Sat. Aug.26th in Panhandle, TX. Graveside services were held at 2:00 P.M. Monday August 28th at Memorial Park Cemetary in Dalhart, TX.John Henley officiated. It was the honor of Horizon Funeral Home to provide these services.Mrs. Burnett was born on Nov.12, 1916 in Trinidad, CO. She was a long time Dalhart resident. She was a homemaker and member of the Dalhart Church of Christ where she taught Ladies Bible Class for many years. She married Elmer Burnett on Nov. 15th 1930. She was preceded in death by her husband, a daughter Ruth Rue, a son Lanny Tim, a grandson Robert Rue, her parents James & Minnie Potter, and 4 brothers and 4 sisters.Survivors include a daughter Jimmie Sue Chisum of Panhandle, a son Michael Burnett of Honolulu, Hawaii, 5 Grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, 7 great-great grandchildren, and the Eric Haiduk family. Casket bearers will be grandsons and great grandsons.Memorial may be made to High Plains Children's Home or your favorite charity
